Terms and Conditions
In the following terms and conditions, "the Event" refers to the "YOU MADE MY DAY" held from June 1 to July 31, 2026; "Participants" refers to individuals participating in this Event; and "Organizer" refers to The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon.
The Event Terms and Conditions are as follows:
- Participants under 18 years of age must obtain prior consent from a parent or guardian to participate. Participants and/or their parents or guardians must agree to comply with all terms and conditions introduced by the Organizer at the time of registration and thereafter.
- The event is voluntary. Participants are willing to bear all risks and responsibilities, and have no right to claim any injuries, accidents, or deaths caused by the event or other reasons from the organizer, including the conference, event planning, and sponsors/supporting organizations, or any form of loss claims or accountability.
- The organizer will send you the updated information relating to our services, development, and the appeal of donation/volunteer campaigns through various channels such as direct mailing, email, telephone, SMS or WhatsApp, etc. At that time, the organizer will need to use your contact information and donation records stored in the organizer to contact or communicate with you.
- Participants' personal data and event records, including names and photos, may be used for promotional purposes related to the Event.
- Each participant will receive a event sticker.
- If the Event is forced to terminate for any reason, or if participants withdraw for any reason, all donations will be non-refundable.
- Submitted works must be original and cannot participate in other events or have been published elsewhere. If any work is found to involve plagiarism, the participant will be disqualified without prior notice.
- If a participant's work is found to violate these terms and conditions or Hong Kong law, the Organizer has the right to disqualify the participant and reclaim any awarded prizes. If awarded works lead to any claims due to non-originality, the relevant participant will bear all responsibilities, and the Organizer will not be held liable.
- The content of the works must adhere to the theme and must not contain any pornographic, violent, commercial, political, or religious information. The Organizer has the final decision-making authority and may delete or disqualify any submitted works.
- The winner list will be announced at 12:00 noon. on August 5, 2026, and each winner will be individually notified regarding prize collection. Photo submissions must be emailed to development@loksintong.org or submitted via our subsidiary units by 11:59 p.m. on July 10, 2026. The Organizer will select 20 entries and upload them to the “The Lok Sin Tong Benevolent Society, Kowloon” Facebook page. The top 10 entries receiving the most likes will be declared winners. Voting period: 12:00 noon on July 27 to 6:00 p.m. on July 31.
- If participants fail to comply with the terms of the Event, the Organizer has the right to disqualify them or terminate their participation during the Event. The Organizer’s decision is final and non-negotiable.
- Participants who donate HK$100 or above (each donation) will receive an official receipt for tax deductible in Hong Kong. The Organizer will send an official receipt by post or email within two months after the event ends.
- The Organizer reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. The Organizer has the final decision on all matters related to the event. Please pay attention to the latest announcement on the event website.
